Most therapists treat the trauma or the relationship. I specialize in the interaction between the two.
Therapy for individuals and couples in Colorado carrying a history of trauma.
About Madison
The effects of trauma show up most clearly in our closest relationships. Many of the clients I work with are navigating the lasting impacts of trauma and the ways those experiences shape their relationships, sense of self, and emotional lives. I am passionate about supporting men, women, and couples as they move toward deeper understandings, healing, and connection.
My background includes extensive work with survivors of domestic violence, which informs my relational, curious, and compassionate approach to therapy. I believe our closest relationships often reveal the patterns, wounds, and protective strategies we developed long ago, and therapy can offer a space to understand those experiences with greater clarity and care.
I am especially passionate about working with men who feel affected by cultural expectations around masculinity, emotional expression, and identity. As a woman, I bring a unique perspective to conversations about masculinity and the ways it can shape individual choices, relationships, and emotional well-being. When men have meaningful access to mental health support, individuals, families, and communities benefit.
Drawing from psychoanalytic, emotionally-focused, and EMDR approaches, I collaborate closely with my clients to explore their histories, strengthen their relationships, and create lasting, meaningful change.
